Tips from our Pilot

Do buy a spice rack. It is a lot cheaper than buying the invidual spices. This rack with 20 spice bottles (spices included) cost $20 as opposed to the $3 or 4 dollars you'd typically spend at the grocery store for each bottle.

Don't use an enormous butcher knife to open a tiny spice bottle. Here Chris is doing it, and I don't even think he is looking at what he is doing. I can almost guarantee that, if you repeat this, you will lose your thumb.

Do follow your recipe and use measuring cups/spoons, at least until you have a good eye for these things. Otherwise, your ingredients for bread can easily become a recipe for glue.

Don't panic when you think you don't have the right equipment. On this show you will see us improvise quite frequently with what we have on hand. In this case, we didn't have the right lid for the pan we were using, so we used a pizza pan.
